Clean
We will take action against people who:
- let their dogs roam off the lead
- allow their dog to foul in public areas and do not pick it up
- drop litter in public areas
- do not keep their garden tidy
- fly tip rubbish and waste
- carry out acts of vandalism and graffiti
Tidy
You can help to keep your neighbourhood tidy by:
-
keeping our gardens tidy at all times
-
arranging for unwanted items in our gardens to be collected
-
storing our refuse & recycling bins tidily
-
not dropping litter
-
being a responsible pet owner
Green
To preserve the quality of our garden city we expect Willow Park and the City Council to:
-
ensure that open spaces are well maintained
-
take action against residents who drive or park on grass verges or greens
-
support residents to recycle rubbish and garden waste
-
preserve hedges wherever possible
-
ensure that trees are well maintained
If you work with us to this code, you will help make your own neighbourhood a better place to live.
How Clean & Tidy is your neighbourhood?
In the past few months you may have had a visit from a Willow Park Housing Officer from the Neighbourhoods Team accompanied by one of our Tenant Auditors. We have been inspecting small areas and knocking on doors to ask for your views. We want to know how you feel about your neighbourhood as a place to live and the services that we provide to help keep it clean and tidy. We also want you to tell us which areas we should be visiting.
Thank you to those residents who gave us feedback - this has been really useful. In recent months the results indicated that:
-
91% are satisfied with the area as a place to live.
-
87% are satisfied with the services to keep the area clean and tidy.
If you would like to join Willow Park and Manchester City Council staff, local councillors and other residents on a walkabout and inspection of your neighbourhood then please contact the Neighbourhoods Team on 0800 633 5500.
After the walkabout we will provide you with feedback on what action has been taken to improve matters.
