Willow Park is committed to contributing towards the safety, stability and sustainability of our community by treating domestic abuse as a crime which is not acceptable and is detrimental to the physical and mental well being of victims, their families and communities.
The Trust will adopt a victim centred approach and treat victims courteously, sensitively and respectfully at all times. This will be reflected in our procedures which ensure that the overriding concern is for the safety of victims. We will consult before any action is taken and will support victims to remain in their homes where appropriate.
If you are experiencing domestic abuse, you can talk to us about your options. We take all reports of domestic abuse seriously, and will work positively with you to find a solution.
The first steps are to talk to your Housing Officer who can:
- Help you find a permanent new home
- Give you general housing advice and put you in touch with other organisations that can help
- Get you into safe accommodation if you’re in immediate danger
We can offer a range of measures to support victims of domestic abuse which include:
- Out of hours support
- Victim and witness support
- Home link alarms
- Target hardening and security measures
- CCTV cameras
- Sanctuary scheme
Please contact us on 0800 633 5500 to arrange to see a Housing Officer. We will see you within 24 hours and can arrange for you to be seen by someone of the same gender if you prefer. We can also arrange for an interpreter to be present if your first language is not English.
