Rubbish collections

Recycle for a greener, greater Wythenshawe!

Bulging black bins can be a problem in some of our neighbourhoods, with our housing officers often spotting them during estate walkabouts! This is also an issue raised by local tenants and residents, who report it as a one of their top priorities across Wythenshawe.

We work hard to keep our estates clean and free from fly tipping and rubbish, and we  work closely with colleagues from Manchester City Council to resolve any issues and encourage recycling..

If your black bin is so full on collection day that the lid is open it will not be emptied or taken away – nor will any additional bags of household waste left at the side.

To cut down on the amount going into black bins and to land fill make sure you are recycling all you can!
