Threatened by domestic abuse?

You may be reading this page either because you or someone you know is going through some form of domestic abuse. Domestic abuse exists in a variety of ways and can seriously affect the physical and mental well-being of victims, their families and communities.

The safety of anyone living in the Wythenshawe area that is experiencing domestic abuse is a primary concern. Willow Park Housing Trust will treat the matter sensitively and respectfully at all times. We believe that domestic abuse is something that needs to be dealt with urgently and if you choose to discuss your situation with us we will talk through a plan of support before any form of action is taken.

In some circumstances we receive requests for re-housing, but this is not your only option. We can also support residents who wish to remain in their homes and offer the option of using the Sanctuary scheme

We take all reports of domestic abuse very seriously and will work with you to find the best solution possible. In the first instance we would always recommend talking to your Housing Officer who can give you General housing advice but other measures to support victims include:

  • Out of hours support
  • Victim and witness support
  • Home link alarms
  • Security measures
  • CCTV cameras
  • Sanctuary scheme

Please contact us on 0800 633 5500 to arrange to see a Housing Officer. We will see you within 24 hours and can arrange for you to be seen by someone of the same gender if you prefer. We can also arrange for an interpreter to be present if your first language is not English.
