Schools & Partnership Work
Neighbour Wardens have always had close links with local schools both primary and secondary, having a familiarisation with young people, allows them the opportunity to understand the role and what our key objectives are. Neighbourhood Wardens will deliver presentations on various subject areas such:
- Introduction to Wardens
- Environmental issues
- Stranger Danger
- Anti-social Behaviour
We also link this in with Junior Wardens and try to promote this activity and have a steady flow of new recruits, we work closely with local schools to invite classes of children to Wythenshawe House to look at the Control Room, Warden vehicles and have a chance to use the equipment that is used by the service and have a first-hand insight into front-line services for the community and the positive contribution they have in providing a safe community to live
