Manchester Enterprise Academy – One of a new generation of secondary schools that offer a more flexible curriculum, allowing thousands of students to go on vocational courses or gain practical work experience so they can be better equipped for the world of work.

Manchester Adult Education Services –  have a course that’s right for you whatever your educational background, age or interests.

The Manchester College – Offers you the learning experience you are looking for.

Connexions-Manchester – If you are aged 13-19 they can offer you all the information you need to make the decisions and choices in your life. Careers, work, money, health advice and much more.

Work Based Training for Young People – if you are under 18, they give you a chance to get training leading to a recognised vocational qualification.

Student Jobs – The one-stop student job shop for holiday and part-time jobs.

JobCentrePlus – Provides help and support for those looking for work. Part of the Department for Work and Pensions. Includes jobs at Manchester Airport. If you would prefer to visit, Manchester Airport has it’s very own Job Centre Plus at Ground Floor, Commonwealth House, Chicago Avenue. 0161 912 8300.

LearnDirect – Allows you to learn what you want, where you want and at a pace that suits you.

AimHigher – Offers information on how to start a higher education course at U.K. universities and colleges of further education.

UCAS – Universities and Colleges Admissions Service process applications for entry to higher education.

Apprenticeships from the Learning and Skills Council – Gives details how apprentices can earn while they learn.

CITB Construction Skills – Helps to provide a fully trained and skilled workforce. Includes information on apprenticeships.

Money Advice Service – a not for profit government organisation created solely to help people with their finances.
